International engagement has been happening at NMSU for over 40 years, if not longer. However, since 2004 NMSU has been systematically stating its goals and strategy in an attempt to achieve a more “comprehensive internationalization”. Below you’ll find the latest strategic plan, and information about the advisory council that works to advance the university’s global learning priorities.
PARTNERS AND ENGAGEMENT
NMSU has a variety of types of global partnerships. Sometimes there is a direct agreement with an institution or government entity; sometimes we are members of an organization, part of a consortium, or have a faculty member teaching a course that creates an avenue for NMSU students to study abroad; sometimes we do service or research partnerships.
