This week NMSU’s Center for English Language Programs (CELP) was selected to host 25 students by the Agencia Mexicana de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo, which is part of Mexico’s Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores. Known as “Proyecta 100,000”, the initiative is part of an effort to achieve mobility of 100,000 Mexican students, teachers and researchers to the United States by 2018. Proyecta 100,000 is focused on increasing the English language skills of Mexican citizens.
Between October 23 and November 17, 2017, fifteen students will come to Las Cruces for four weeks of intensive English study provided by CELP. They will live and dine on campus for the duration of their studies.
This is the second time NMSU has hosted Proyecta 100,000 students, having hosted 25 students in the fall of 2016.
