“Study Abroad Ambassadors” Raise Funds for Philippines Victims

International and Border Programs and the Office of Education Abroad is proud to be affiliated with the outstanding work of the “Study Abroad Ambassadors” as they seek to raise relief funds for those struck by the storm in the Philippines.   The NMSU News Center covered the story here.

The Study Abroad Ambassadors are a group of students who are devoted to providing a rewarding and welcoming experience to our incoming exchange students.  The group, which works under the auspices of the Office of Education Abroad, raises money in a regular “By Golly We’ve Gone Global” event at a local art depot, puts together welcome baskets for the incoming students, participates in and helps to organize welcome events, and generally befriends them in a buddy system type of arrangement.
