Visit to Chihuahua Accelerates Possibilities

On April 28 and 29, a delegation from NMSU including Associate Provost for International and Border Programs Cornell H. Menking, Liaison for Latin American and Mexican Affairs Dr. Imelda Olague, and Director of the Center for Latin American Studies Dr. Iñigo Garcia-Bryce, traveled to Chihuahua City to lay the groundwork for collaborative opportunities for NMSU.  While in Chihuahua, the delegation was received in the Chihuahua congressional building by the leader of the PRI party majority, Diputado Rodrigo de la Rosa.  The group also met with the Rector of Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Chihuahua, Enrique Seáñez Sáenz, as well as with the leadership from various Institutos Tecnologicos and the Instituto Nacional de Historia y Antropologia.
