International Studies Minor and Peace Corps Prep Now Available

NMSU is happy to announce two new options to students to enhance their global learning.

First, NMSU now offers an International Studies Minor that is hosted in the College of Arts and Sciences’ Interdisciplinary Studies Department.  More information about the International Studies Minor is available here.

Second, NMSU has now officially partnered with the United States Peace Corps to offer a path to receiving the Peace Corps Prep certificate.  Directly offered by the Peace Corps, but building on the aforementioned International Studies minor, students pursuing this certificate will receive a greater chance (though not a guarantee) to enter the highly competitive U.S. Peace Corps.  Since 1963 the Peace Corps has been helping developing countries, allowing people across the global get to know real life, ordinary American Citizens, and helping American Citizens get to know that world and bring that knowledge back to the U.S. (the three goals of the Peace Corps).  Visit this link for more information about NMSU’s Peace Corps Prep program.
